We are seeking skilled and reliable Radio Electronic Token Block (RETB) Operators to work on an ad-hoc basis across the UK. RETB Operators play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of railway signalling systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Previous experience working as a RETB Operator or in a similar signalling role preferred
– Knowledge of railway signalling systems and protocols
– Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Flexibility to work on an ad-hoc basis across different locations in the UK
Key Responsibilities:
– Operate radio electronic token block systems in accordance with established protocols and procedures
– Maintain clear and effective communication with other operators, signallers, and train drivers
– Monitor and control train movements to ensure safe and timely operation
– Respond promptly and appropriately to any signalling and communication issues
– Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and incidents
