For this role your should be good at managing stock and have strong numeracy skills.

A Forklift truck license would be an additional benefit to the person, as well we would be looking for you to be pro active and able to work under your own inisutive .

The initial hourly rate is £11.50 and following a successful 12 week probation period this would be reviewed.

Forklift Driver

JP Recruitment are pleased to be working with a Warehousing Company, based in Corby, to recruit several Forklift Drivers. The company uses Counterbalance forklifts, however our client is willing to put successful applicants possessing other forklift licences (inhouse inlcuded) through an in-house conversion course.

Shift pattern we are recruiting for:

  • 4 on 4 off days and nights rotating (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am)

Overtime is available paid at time and a half.

Specific Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Operating the Forklift to transport goods in and around the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading trucks.
  • Stacking and organising pallets accordingly.
  • Ensure correct health and safety measure are taken at all times.

You will ideally hold a Counterbalance forklift licence however other forklift licences (Reach, Flexi/Bendi etc) will be considered providing you are willing to undergo a 2 day in-house conversion course.

Warehouse Operative – FTC

Major Recruitment are looking to hire Warehouse Operatives at our client in Nottingham. This role involves working in a cold environment and requires the ability to get to the site for a 5:00 AM start. The position is contracted for 8-10 weeks, from October to the end of December, with the potential for a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wear correct PPE, including clothing, gloves, and shoes.
  • Pick and pack palletised goods using printed orders.
  • Comply with food and hygiene requirements
  • Perform stock rotation, stock taking, and identify short-dated or damaged products.
  • Assist Goods Inwards in receiving products as required, put stock away in the correct location within the department, and pick and collate orders accurately.
  • Check products are labelled correctly from receipt (batch codes, etc.) through to dispatch (customer codes, order number).
  • Organize product for dispatch accordingly at the end of the shift, ready for the loading crew the following morning; this includes verifying all orders processed for dispatch are on the correct pallets.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
  • Experience working within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong level of English Speaking and Reading

Working Hours & Pay:

  • 38 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • 05:00 AM – 13:30 PM (Monday to Thursday)
  • 05:00 AM – 11:30 AM (Fridays)
  • £12 per hour
