Class 1 Driver

Are you looking for a new role in the Wakefield area? Both full time and part time shifts available!

Major Logistics are recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to carry out trunk runs to mainly RDC’s.

PAYE Rates:

  • Monday to Friday Days: £16.00 ph
  • Saturday: £18.00 ph
  • Sunday: £20.00 ph
  • Plus holiday pay accrual

Hours:

  • Various shifts available, both part time and full time, depending on your availability
  • Start times anywhere between 04:00-09:00
  • Nights out / Tramping work may available in the future, if you would prefer
  • Ideal shift pattern would involve you covering Friday to Monday

Duties:

  • You will be driving Class 1 vehicles, carrying our trunk runs
  • You will mainly be delivering to RDC’s

Requirements:

  • Class 1 (CE) Licence
  • In date CPC and Digi Card
  • Minimum 6 months experience required

Logistics Manager

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a Stourbridge based SME who are seeking a Logistics Manager to ideally start immediately.

Duties and tasks will include:

  • Manage workshop schedules for new build tankers.
  • Manage chassis delivery dates with the supplier.
  • Manage vessel delivery dates with supplier.
  • Manage insurance inspections and certification.
  • Communicate directly with all staff to obtain updates on current builds and assist with any issues e.g. technical, parts and delays.
  • To hold two weekly Production Meetings to align schedules and manage any actions, updates and feedback to customers.
  • To build and supply electronic vehicle manuals to include tech folders, and certification.
  • To arrange vehicle collections and handovers with customers.
  • To schedule meter calibrations.

PAYE Pay Rate for Class 2 Driver:

  • You will be paid £13.50 per hour

Hours of work for Class 2 Driver:

  • You will be working Monday to Friday, starting between 05:30-06:30
  • Shifts are usually between 9-11 hours

Duties for Class 2 Driver:

  • Your role will be driving manual class 2 Tipper vehicles
  • You will be moving materials from site to site

Experience required:

  • Class 2 (C) Licence
  • Valid CPC and Digi Card
  • Experience driving manual HGV Gearbox is essential
  • Tipper experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:
