Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Development Officer to assist with the identification and progression of new growth opportunities for an organisation based in Essex.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Development Officer:

  • Identify and progress new growth opportunities, focusing on both affordable and market sale options.
  • Assist with the delivery of new homes by performing site appraisals, site assembly, resident/public consultation, pre-construction surveys and planning applications.
  • Project manage identified projects and initiatives.
  • Research land opportunities, planning approvals, and market rents/sales values using online planning portals.
  • Maximise the charging capacity for all developments and assist with property charging information.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the growth strategy and Corporate Plan objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with developers, landowners, agents, contractors, solicitors, and other teams to support growth.
  • Maintain accurate records for all new projects
  • Provide project and contract management support to the New Homes team as needed, including attending meetings and assisting with handovers.
  • Assist with invoice processing and cost control
  • Liaise daily with residents, owner-occupiers, Local Authority planners, developers, architects, solicitors, councillors, and Homes and Communities Agency.

Essential Requirements of the Development Officer:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience within residential property development

Responsibilities of the Multi Skilled Operative includes:

  • Completing reactive plumbing, joinery and multi skilled work on void and tenanted social housing properties
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Maintaining van stock
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining a clean and working environment within customers’ homes#

Essential criteria of the Multi Skilled Operative includes:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Skills within joinery, plumbing, tiling and patch plastering

Key Responsibilities:

  • General multi-skilled work in residential properties, including plastering, joinery, and groundworks
  • Rubbish removal from lofts and ensuring access for scaffolding
  • 1st and 2nd fix work, including door undercuts and shaving
  • Replacing fences, patch plastering, window fittings, door handles, and other fixture tasks
  • Ensure high-quality and tidy work is completed on all jobs

Requirements:

  • Asbestos Awareness
