We are recruiting for a Trainee NDT Inspector for our client in Portlethen. In this role you will be responsible for conducting or organising preparatory work, overseeing tasks and testing to industry standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify materials against work orders, assess suitability, and report conditions needing customer attention.
- Safely use inspection equipment to perform inspections, mark materials, and record results.
- Monitor equipment, perform basic maintenance, and ensure a safe, organised work environment.
- Provide reports, manage spares, and adhere to safety guidelines, reporting hazards as needed.
Qualifications:
- MPI / LPI Certification.
Experience:
- Familiarity with NS-2 / DS-1 Specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry or mechanical fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
