Major Recruitment are searching for a Product Inspection Operative for our client based in Wallsend. This vacancy is initially for 6 months but can lead to a full-time and permanent position for the right candidate.
Duties include:
- Comparing manufactured products with technical drawings to check for defects, missing components, incorrect dimensions etc.
- Reporting defects to other departments and agreeing corrective action
- Completing relevant paperwork and quality reports
- Contributing to improvement of current work practices
- Liaising with other teams and departments to investigate and resolve defects
Hours of work and pay rate:
- Monday to Thursday, 07:00am/ 07:30am till 16:00/ 16:30pm
- Friday 07:00/ 07:30am till 11:30am/ 12:00pm
- Candidates can choose which pattern they prefer
- 37.5 hours per week
- £13.07 per hour
- Overtime available as and when business needs require, x1.5 for any hours over 37.5 – £19.60
Successful candidates must have the following:
- An electronic assembly or electrical product background
- Be able to read and understand wiring schematics and technical drawings
- Be able to use measuring tools and gauges
- Have an understanding of visual checking processes
